Windermere is a small, shady town on the Butler Chain of Lakes. The heart of town is Main Street and Town Square Park. It is quiet, it is friendly, and it has some of the best small-town events in West Orange.

Best things to do in Windermere

Friday morning at the Windermere Farmers Market. Most farmers markets are on the weekend, but this one is on Friday, from 9 AM to 1:30 PM at Town Square Park, 520 Main St. Leashed pets are welcome. It is a nice way to start a long weekend.

Hang out at Town Square Park. This is the town's main gathering spot. It is where you will find the Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast, the Run Among the Lakes 5K and 10K, the Halloween Hayride and Costume Parade, and Pet Fest.

Get out on the water. The town sits on the Butler Chain of Lakes, so a day on a boat or a paddle is never far away.
