Ocoee is built around Starke Lake, and the lake is the best place to start. The city has put more than $44 million into downtown projects along the west shore of the lake, plus a new downtown trail. It is a great time to come see what is new.

Best things to do in Ocoee

Spend an evening at Bill Breeze Park. This lakeside park at 125 N. Lakeshore Dr. has a big open field, a Veterans Memorial and a gazebo. It is home to many of the city's free events, like Movie in the Park.

Go fishing or launch a boat at Municipal Lakefront Park. Right on Starke Lake at 150 N. Lakeshore Dr., it has a boat ramp, a fishing dock and pavilions. It is open from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Catch the Ocoee Music Festival. This big city festival draws more than 20,000 people for music and fireworks. Watch the city events page for the next date.

Where to eat in Ocoee

The Ocoee Taco Company at 40 Taylor St. is our pick for a cheap, filling meal near downtown. Tacos are $6.50 each, and the 3 Taco Combo Special with rice, beans and a drink is $17.85. It is open daily from 11 AM to 8:30 PM. For more ideas, see our Cheap Eats guide.
