1. Azteca D'Oro, Winter Garden
Azteca D'Oro tops our list. It is family-owned and sits at 3130 Daniels Road in Winter Garden Village at Fowlers Grove. Order the molcajete, a hot stone bowl full of grilled meat, cheese and sauce. The fajitas come out sizzling, and the birria tacos are a crowd favorite.
There is live music on the patio. Hours are 11 AM to 10 PM Monday to Thursday, 11 AM to 11 PM Friday and Saturday, and 11 AM to 10 PM Sunday.
2. San Jose's Original, Winter Garden
San Jose's Original is a local favorite with a big menu. The Winter Garden spot is at 16112 Marsh Road, close to Horizon West. It works well for a big group because there is something for everyone.
It is open 11 AM to 10 PM Monday to Thursday, 11 AM to 10:30 PM Friday and Saturday, and 11 AM to 9 PM Sunday. The phone number is (407) 554-2118. San Jose's also has other locations in Ocoee and Windermere.
3. Agave Azul, Windermere
Agave Azul is our pick in Windermere. It is at 5855 Winter Garden Vineland Road, Suite 100. The menu is full of Mexican classics, and it is an easy stop on the way home from the Disney area.

4. Agave Bandido, Hamlin
Agave Bandido brings a fun, lively room to Hamlin at 5365 Hamlin Groves Trail. Come on Tuesday. The restaurant says taco platters are half off every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday.

5. Taco Norteño, Winter Garden
Taco Norteño serves the flavor of Northern Mexico at 12793 W. Colonial Dr. The tortillas are handmade, and there is a salsa bar. It opens at 5:30 AM on weekdays, so it is great for an early meal.
Weekday hours run to 8:30 PM, and to 9 PM on Friday. On Saturday it is open 10 AM to 9 PM, and on Sunday 10 AM to 7:30 PM.
